Specification

Hostatint A 100 is a range of solvent-based pigment preparations having a flash point higher than 100 °C and containing an aldehyde resin. These pigment preparations are used for the coloration of many kinds of solvent-based paint systems. Hostatint Blue A-BTR 100-ST is a highly transparent, reddish blue.

Distinguishing Features

Hostatint Blue A-BTR 100-ST is much redder in hue than Hostatint Blue A-BTG 100-ST. While the latter is the preferred choice for blending with Hostatint Yellow A-N4G 100-ST to achieve halogen-free greens. Hostatint Blue A-BTR 100-ST is preferred for blending with Hostatint Magenta A-EB 100-ST to achieve halogen-free violets. Both can be used as sole colorants on wood or on transparent substrates, or in combination with aluminum or mica pigments for metallic or mineral effect shades.

Hostatint Blue A-BTR 100-ST has »Test Product« status (= VP 5481). This means that the first Lot (DEB8005886) is preliminarily used for QC procedures, and specifications cannot be defined yet, because product and process development is ongoing.
