Dalamar Yellow YT-800-D-MX is a bright, reddish PY 65 type having very good weather fastness and high opacity in application. It is primarily used in solvent-based yellow traffic paints (Cowles Blade dispersible) and tapes. Pigments of this chemistry demonstrate good rheological properties but fastness to overpainting and all non-aliphatic solvents is poor. In addition, they bloom heavily in baking systems and have relatively poor heat stability. To note is that often exhibit poor crystal stability in the presence of organic solvents, indicated by a distinct red shade shift, loss of brightness and strength reduction. this phenomenon is often accelerated by elevated (above 40°C/104°F) processing temperatures.
